Baking soda is basic so it helps in neutralizing excess acids in the stomach. Mix one tablespoon of baking soda in 1 glass water and drink it after the meal. It is important to know that if you are having blood pressure do not try this remedy.

Remedy 3: Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider vinegar too is very effective in treating acidity. It helps in calming the stomach. Mix apple cider vinegar in water and take it before the meal if you are frequently suffer from acid reflux.

Remedy 4: Avoid Certain Foods

The best method to stop acidity is to avoid gas forming foods like cauliflowers and beans and raw materials like onion, radish, peppers, cucumbers and cabbage. Avoid caffeine and too much spicy and rich foods. Eat light and healthy foods.

Remedy 5: Herbal Licorice

Herbal licorice stops acid reflux by coating the stomach with a protective gel. It can be easily found in any medical store in form of tea.

Remedy 6: Drinks Lots Of Water

You must drink lots of water as it helps in diluting the stomach acid. Ideal time to drink water in half an hour after the meal. You should not drink water while eating and chew the meal properly before engulfing it.

These are one of the easiest and effective acid reflux home remedies. You should quit smoking and reduce the consumption of alcohol to reduce acidity and always eat in a proper posture. You can also take over the counter medications to reduce acidity. If you are not getting relief from these remedies then you should consult a doctor, it may be caused due to digestive disorders which needs proper treatment.

  • You are what you eat. Therefore find out what foods cause your problems and avoid them. In my case it is MILK.
    After years of being treated for IBS, diverticulitus, Crohns disease, chronic coughing, phlegm on the lungs, etc I just gave up all dairy products and ALL the systems went away.
