Wisdom teeth are the third molars which are the last adult teeth to appear in the mouth, mostly during 17 to 25 years. Impacted wisdom teeth are those teeth which do not or partially come out of the gums. The Impacted wisdom teeth symptoms vary from person to person in terms of intensity. The symptoms vary with the extent to which the tooth is inside the gums. In few cases the cap may appear partially, or it may come out abnormally at an angle and it is also possible that the whole tooth remains inside the gum.

When the wisdom tooth tries to break in through the gums it causes swelling and inflammation in gums. You may also notice redness in the swollen region. If the swelling increases then it may lead to bleeding as a result chances of infection in the gums increases.
Pain In Gums
Pain in gums is one of the first impacted wisdom teeth symptoms. Initially the pain is very mild but within few days as the tooth grows it may become an acute pain. You may have difficulty in opening and closing your mouth. The pain increases while eating and the pain may spread to the ears as well.
Bad Breath and Taste
Infection in the mouth because of the impacted tooth may cause accumulation of puss and bacterias in the mouth due to which you may have a bad breath. Affected person is unable to brush properly due to the acute pain as a result of which a bad taste may develop in the mouth.
Swelling Of Jaw
When the wisdom teeth grows at a wrong angle and does not get enough space then it may cause swelling of jaw. With this you will have intense pain in the jaws and jaw movement may be restricted due to the swelling. Due to this you will face difficulty in speaking properly.
The main cause of headache may not be the impacted wisdom teeth instead the person suffers from headache as a result of continuous pain in the jaw and gums and difficulty in speaking and eating.

If the wisdom teeth is creating problem it is removed from the gums by minor surgery and the person can go home on the same day of surgery.
