Respiratory diseases affect the various tissues and organs like trachea, alveoli, upper respiratory tract and pleural cavity. The common symptoms of respiratory diseases are sudden pain in the chest, suffocation, difficulty in breathing and shortness of breath.

Respiratory Diseases List:
One of the most common names in the Respiratory Disease list, is a disease in which patient has difficulty in breathing due to inflammation of bronchi. Asthma attacks are caused due to pollutants like pollen, tobacco smoke and dust particles.
Caused mainly as a result of exposure to carcinogen or smoking. Lung cancer is caused due to abnormal cell growth which damages the lung. It is preventable form of cancer because it is related to smoking. The major symptoms are cough with bloody sputum, difficulty in breathing and respiratory infections.
Mostly related to smoking is a COPD. The major symptoms are whistling sound made by lungs and shortness of breath. Till date there is no proper cure for the disease.
It is caused due to bacterial infection of the lungs. A important disease which comes under Respiratory Disease List and is very common form of respiratory disease. It is a contagious disease which spreads when a patients sneezes or coughs. The symptoms include cough and blood from the mouth. It can be cured after a long medication. However, if not treated can be fatal in later stages.
Main causes of this disease are punctured lung or injury, infection and even due to excessive deep breath. It is characterized by air in the pleural spaces around the lungs. The common symptoms include dry cough, sudden chest pain and collapsed lungs.
Disease caused mainly due to air pollution. It is not a very serious disease and can be controlled by avoiding exposure to dust particles.
Patient suffers from progressive inflammation of the bronchi which is the lower airway of the lung. The common symptoms are wet cough chest tightness and difficulty in breathing.
